Lucid Den's new single "Testament" is a re-working of fellow local artist Vestron Vulture's "Old Testament", originally released in 2018 as a remix in Vestron Vulture's "Warlock" EP. Co-produced by Otrembu Eio and Polygon Kid (now Dark Genesis of Acid Fader), this was one of the original grouping's last collaborations before Polygon Kid's leave.
In "Testament", Vestron Vulture's original track is transformed from a relentless trance anthem into an oddly beautiful electro lament, with sweet ethereal melodies and harsh synthesizer noise alternating each other, the vocodered lyrics and icy riffs keeping a dark atmosphere on the song.
"Animism" is an emo-house instrumental where a bleak, destroyed piano loop evolves into synthetic cleanliness, giving birth to elegant, weightless arpeggios, atmospheric synthesizers and deep basslines that soar throughout the track, spirits as uncountable as the sounds in this track, freed into space at night.
